Games Are A Way Of Life

One of the loves of my life is board games. Now, I don't mean your usual Monopoly, Risk, or even Trivial Pursuit. You'll have to think Beyond Monopoly for this.

I love Power Grid, Ticket to Ride, Battle Lore, Age of Steam, and countless others. I have 338 games in my collection now.

I never imagined that I would ever own more than a dozen games of any type, whether that be digital or physical, but now I own so many. I never tout the number of games to brag, but I do so in amazement of just how much this hobby has grown on me and my family.

One of my favorite online haunts is Board Game Geek, and if anything that I have said so far interests you, then that's a good place to start.

The Great Things Come Early

There are several great things that I enjoy in my life. A couple of those include boardgames, and another being school. School is great as it'll help me get out of this duldrum life of retail and move on to doing something that actually takes brainpower. That's not to say that retail doesn't take skill, but it is more practice and tolerance than anything else.

Back on to my topic...

School is an early thing ever since I found out they have pushed up the exam schedule 3 days. This made me nervous and bit frantic, but tonight I'll be done with them and have several days off between semesters (I take classes online), so that will give me more time for the other early thing...

Which would be my latest game order, which includes 2 new expansions for Battlelore, an ultra rare game Marracash, a semi-rare game called San Fransisco, and an oldie but goodie called Hol's der Grier.

So while I'm nervous about exams, I do have the uplifting feeling of seeing my game order on the porch when I pull into the driveway tonight.
